Be careful what gets on your skin. Just because its “natural” doesn’t mean it’s good for you. ABC News reported that a Florida man developed wounds that looked like second degree burns after he came in contact with lime juice. Limes contain a chemical (fluorocoumarins) which reacts with sunlight to produce inflammation, swelling and discoloration of those parts of the skin the juice comes in contact with. If you’re eating or working with limes wash your skin well before going getting exposed to sunlight.
